The Hawk’s Nest is a great vacation houseboat located in fabulous, fun, funky Fremont. This Seattle neighborhood is fondly know as the Center of the Known Universe, which reflects the quirky nature of this creative neighborhood. Don’t be surprised to see life sized topiary dinosaurs, a giant troll under the Aurora bridge – holding a VW Beetle in his hand. Around the corner stands the controversial statue of Lenin. Walk a block and see the Fremont rocket, ready to blast off to Saturn (also located in Fremont).
Don’t worry if you get lost. The Fremont signpost will guide you everywhere from the Fremont Troll to the North Pole. If you get hungry during your Fremont forray, fear not, for there is fabulous food at every turn. Whatever your appetite, there is sure to be a place to fit your pallette. Need some entertainment? This is the place to be! You can walk the streets and see art on every corner. Take in a movie at the Fremont Outdoor Theater, or enjoy some comedy at CSz! There’s lots to see and do in Fremont.
The Hawk’s Nest is conveniently located at Fremont Wharf marina, right on the Burke-Gilman Trail and only a short stroll to downtown Fremont. This is a vacation spot where you truly do not need a car. Want to catch a Mariner’s Game or watch the Seahawks play? The Seattle Metro bus leaves frequently (every 20-30 minutes) from just a few hundred feet away and takes you right to the sports arenas.
The Hawk’s Nest sleeps 4 comfortably and up to 8 using pull out beds. There is 1 full bathroom and one 3/4 bathroom. The main salon features lots of seating, a dining table with room for 6, and a flat screen TV. Hi speed internet is provided and all utensils and linens are on board for your comfort. Even though you are footsteps away from downtown Fremont, your setting at Fremont Wharf marina is a serene and peacful oasis in the city. You will see the ducks and geese, paddle boarders, rowers, sailboats, and ocassionally hawks that nest high overhead. You are located in a community of beautiful houseboats that looks out across Seattle’s famous Lake Union.
